Their cool demeanour during frequent visits to London venues, alongside a multitude of gigs throughout the South-East has earnt the band a loyal following. With the cocky yet charismatic frontman Darren Robinson at the helm, the band is perfectly balanced withb the token "Ladies man" Milky Watson and the raw yet powerful Mike behind the drums.

Girls That Scream

Girls That Scream began as a social experiment in 2004, when the government decided to run a series of simple experiments to clarify just how hard young people can party. After several hundred different 'party aids' were administered, participants of the study were gathered in a dancehall. For the next thirty minutes, Girls That Scream were sent onto the stage to perform.

The results of the study are said to be so terrifyingly disturbing they have never been released, to this day the government refuses to admit to whether these experiments actually ever took place. It is thought Girls That Scream have stolen the 'party aids' and are planning something quite sinister and evil against the scene you know, the scene you love, the scene you eventually will abandon..

The Rooters

The Rooters started in around 1992 from the ashes of previous bands The Armadillos and Killing time (more like killing music). Dave, John and Neil got together with John Taylor and formed a band playing music such as Gary Moore's Still Got The Blues and Thin Lizzy Live and Dangerous, we also played a lot Dr Feelgood and blew a mean harp. This line-up survived for some time (who knows how long) along the way making onto the bike rally scene starting out in Wales at various locations. Unfortunately our drummer at the time ran a business making a lot of dosh, his choice was have fun with The Rooters or go and earn zillions, he chose the latter. Along came Dave Carnell, an excellent drummer who plays in many bands now a days, i will give a mention to only one that is Spitfire who like myself are mainly based in Rugby. With Dave in tow we became a little more rocky added AC/DC, Deep Purple, Metallica, Black Sabbath whilst retaining some of the Lizzy and ZZ top stuff. Again we played on having a good time till once again the drummer was faced with a choice of band or work, unfortunately work again triumphed. At this point we took on another drummer whose name i can't recall other than to say he lasted one gig and was given the boot. Neil, John and Dave were in the depths of despair, who would drum for us, then one night in the summer Mo turned up to jam with us, we clicked, he was excellent and the best drummer in the known universe. Since this time the band have gone form strength to strength apart from the odd broken leg and suspected heart attack we are doing fine. We have played all over the country form Skegness, The Limelight Crewe, Carling Academy Birmingham main stage to Wales and deepest down south. We aim to entertain, have a laugh and give people a good time and drink as much beer as we can.

Sunday 16th

Café Racer

"This young, four piece band delivers a mature, anthemic sound, drawing comparisons with Kings of Leon, The Rolling Stones and The Strokes.

By the time their taut, economic collections of heavy guitar laden riffs and holler-along choruses have been thrown at you, these slightly greasy leather-jacketed boys of urchin cool leave you with the feeling you just got bollocked with a hefty rounders bat."

SEAN RUMSEY

Sean is a solo artist from Warwickshire. He recently was a finalist on the latest series of The X Factor and has now returned from the X Factor tour of the UK. Performing at venues such as The 02 Arena and Wembley, the 6 week tour has given sean priceless experience of performing to thousands of people in a professional setting.

Akeal

Akeal are a four piece band from Leamington. They play music that contains quirky riffs over edgy guitars and rock rhythm sections that have plenty of hooks to get your teeth into. Expect to hear a diverse set that twists and turns from delicate indie to rock in a matter of seconds.

So77

So'77 are! Born out of frustration, So'77 have music back to the roots of new wave, inspired by a stripped raw and aggressive sound that changed a nations attitude toward popular music! The 'Spirit of 77'... The band feature songs by many of the pioneers from this era...to include The Jam, The Buzzcocks, The Undertones and The Vapours, to name but a few. So'77 keep their style simple, straight forward and directly to the point!...

Ellen Miller

Ellen Miller's journey so far reads a little like many of those artists who started early and learnt their craft the hard way. Recognised as a promising writer when she was shortlisted for the LIPA National Songwriters award at the tender age of just 15, Ellen went on try her songs out on audiences small and large from small gatherings to large seated concerts. A favourite at the Birmingham Singers Nights and London's prestigious Bedford Club - Ellen has also been busy on the local scene. She won the regional prize in the National Search for a Star competition - which is noted more for its recognition of West End Musical performance than singer-songwriters, however, even in challenging situations Ellen's talent and passion to perform shines through.

For a young woman and a guitar there are many musical references if you need to define through comparison. Many comments have included Natasha Bedingfield - or you may remember Rikki Lee Jones. If you thought for long enough you could probably make a longer list but it doesn't really matter! Ellen is original, quirky and belongs in front of an audience. You can make your own mind up about the rest.

Ellen is in studio with hit record producer Phil Harding in August. Watch out for a debut EP in September. We hope this wil be the first of many.

Formed in 1999 around the Coventry/Leamington Spa areas, Ministry Of Beaver don't do things by halves!

Having been through various line-up changes, Mark, Andi and Rod are the longest serving members. Having recruited drummer John in the latter part of January 2008, the band are a formidable force on the rock covers circuit.

Drawing from a wide range of influences, this band work hard to give the punters what they want. As well as playing the classic standards, these boys aren't afraid to push the boundries of the rock genre and give the gig-going public something a little different.

Sometimes a bit tongue-in-cheek, but always committed to getting it right.

"In one way or another we love the artists we cover and if we can't do it right, we don't do it at all.... which isn't very often"
