What great day in a really fantastic setting, will definitely be coming back next year for some more of the same.
What a fantastic and excellent day. The festival was buzzing and there was lots to eat and drink. The local bands truly were entertaining. The Hollies and Sweet were electrifying!!!! Blues 2 Go were very very good - excellent vocals. My only concern was that BIG thing in the middle of the field which blocked obstruction of the front stage... Looking forward to 2008 - ROCK ON NAPTON. well done to ALL
Fantastic day, definitely a date for the diary next year. Russian Girlfriend in the Marquee were my highlight.
What a fantasic day I had which, aside from the excellent standard of music, was mostly due to the suberb organisation and excellent facilities (and a drop of current bun in the bargain). Could do with some local brewery ales but that''s just being picky.
An absolutly awesome day! great weather and great bands. It was a shame Bless the Child got cut off. theyve gotten soo much better than last year!Jilted Generation i was well suprised by. It just gets better every year!
Saturday was absolutely awesome and the security peeps were great help for getting that drunk guy out of our tent =D The music was great, V8 rocked =D xxx
What a fantastic day we all had, thank you so much to all the bands and the organisers. The highlight had to be the way 3 mile island opened the marquee stage with the pure adrenelin buzz of pop-punk and good old fashioned rock''n''roll, it certainly set the standard of what was to be high class performances all day long. Already looking forward to next years bash where we will be bring a mini-bus and doing the camping thing. Cheers.......Pete Jones & the gang from the Bell Inn Pub.
PLEASE next year can one of the vendors be open in the morning for coffee and breakfast for the campers? There was nothing this year, and someone missed out on making a killing...The camping was expensive to say there was no actual fascilities or cafe.Otherwise a great day. Cheers n see you again. zoedunkinson@hotmail.com
What a gig for the price, brilliant.Hollies engineer obviously having problems which lost the harmonies outfront, also Andy Scott not happy with the stage monitors.Overall a great day out. As far as suggestions go,why not try The Vans from Telford and Queen on Fire for one of the top acts Next Year? Have 2 Stages in the main field so the music is continuous and nobody should miss any bands they would like to see!! See you next year Jamo (Lincoln)
Violet Joker were possibly one of the best bands on stage - original material, entertaining and totally cool!!! Shame they had such poor support as the opening band - really should have been further up the bill!!!
Great day some really good bands - especially Sweet who were brilliant despite Andy''s microphone problems! Why dont we see more of them in the UK. As it''s a local festival, why didnt we see Singe play? Perhaps next year
Stunning weather, fantastic organisation, food ,drink, brilliant music, a day to remember!
Superb day with great bands (Sonic Horizon blew me away)and great weather.Without question will be back next year for more of the same.
Simply the best festival for the buck anywhere,so many great bands, superb site & organisation. We had a whole load of fun ,thanks for having us . The Fallen !!!
Fantastic day. Congratulations to all those who helped to organise it. Loved "the marquee" stage and spent a lot of time in there. Nice and intimate and a cracking atmosphere later on. Good sound quality too. How could the event be improved? A few more food stalls perhaps. Got a bit bored with hot dogs and burgers by the end of the night. And nother marquee tent perhaps. You can''t get enough of a good thing. See you next year.
Totally Worth the trip down from up North methinks..jilted G very good, any chance of some more non guitar music next year...looking forward to it well done Napton
Had a great day although I think there should have been 2 outdoor stages as at times there wasn''t enough room in the marquee tent. V8 were fantastic as usual, wish their set had been a bit longer though and as for The Jilted Generation....they are a must for next year!and perhaps a bit more dance????
Brill thanks for great day, looking forward to next year Only one suggestion next year can we have 2 stages together as we found we did not see some of bands in tent which were also very good
Had a brilliant time, best day out for years. Agree with other comments about missing some acts in marquee, two outdoor stage''s would be better (1 playing while other sets up, non stop music) V8 were great, loved blues 2 go, also Royal finger pupets, Sonic Horizon ruled in the marquee, shame they wern''t on main stage. look forward to next year.
Briiliant day and great value for money! Pity that Bless The Child who imo were by far and away the best band last year only played the marquee this year and were therefore not seen by most people. Whilst the marquee enabled more bands to play I think the bands that played in there had a raw deal as it wasnt very big which was a pity because some of the bands deserved a much bigger and more public stage to showcase their talents. Also as both venues were playing simultaneously this didnt really provide for more music.... just more choice which at times was frustrating because you cant be in two places at the same time! Next year I think you should have two stages with bands alternating so that there is continuos music throughout the day and please make sure Bless The Child are back next year... on the main stage! See you next year

Had a good day. Only gripe was the Royal Finger Puppets (my favourite local band, and the reason I actually went to the festival) must have only had less than 20 minutes. Was absolutely gutted about that and therefore to me the festival just wasnt worth the money. Huge anticlimax. Cant argue with the organisation in front of the stage, Looked like backstage could have been better (maybe sober roadies / crew would have helped give the RFP the longer set that they deserved). BC.

HI, I play in Oxford''s leading rock band called Evolution, and we''d love to play at next years'' event. We play covers currently, but we also have a repetoire of originals for festivals and we''re trying to play some of the more ''well-organised'' festivals next year; one of our fans suggested wwe try yours as it''s such a great event. Any chance? If so, can you check our web site and e-mail us? See http://www.evolutionrocks.co.uk/ for further details. Look forward to hearing from you

Hi to everyone involved, well done for a fantastic well organised event. I think a dance music tent would be a great addition for next year to cater for the 20-30 somethings and would love to get involved if there was an opening for such a thing. Highlight of the night was the RFP''s even thought they got cut short, again well done, much respect! Looking forward to next years already!

In reply to RFPS set time, they actually played 35 minutes, the reson was they didnt bring their drum kit as asked so one had to be found for them. What a great set though!!!!!!
I had a really brilliant time.....the air of the festival was absolutely magic...i am 18 and had never been to a festival previously, or seen a band live. this was truly a great experience for me. although nothing could really make me love camping, the chill in the night air that kept me from sleeping, could not cause me to fall asleep the following day. i enjoyed most of the bands who appeared during the day, aside from V8, who were good but just didn''t appeal to my tastes. my favourite performer from the daytime would have to have been ''Violet Joker''....and then came the night. The Holllies were fantastic, playing songs i knew, songs i didn''t and songs i didn''t know i knew....although due to my serious stance as a Sweet fan i avoided dancing to Tiger Feet at the festival....they even played my favourite ''Bus Stop'' and my dad''s fave ''Jennifer Eccles''. and then came my reason for being and for being present at the festival, Sweet, i was in awe, being between the front and 2nd row, looking directly up at THE Andy Scott and Bruce Bisland, Steve Grant and Peter Lincoln...i was ready, nearly every lyric from 68 to the present in my head, my multicoloured wig atop my head, and my self designed Sweet t-shirt....i loved it.....and as for the microphone problems with both Hollies and Sweet, goes to show, You can''t always guarantee it''ll go alright on the night. I also noticed that both bands kept their anthems for the encore, (He aint heavy- He''s my brother, and, Ballroom Blitz), but it was just Wow. Camping was fair priced at ?5 a night...the only trouble we had is we had eaten at 1:30pm Friday afternoon, and didn''t get anything hot to eat, until 24 hours later, as we didn''t know which direction it was to the pub, i might suggest a provided map for next year. we stayed mainly with the stage, but from what we did hear the Marquee also sounded like an excellent place to be. Me and my wig will definitely be there next year....it was a great experience with so many friendly people. Charlotte Carroll (Aniseed Rock/ Chloe Hayes), Bradford, W. Yorkshire.
had a great laugh, jilted generation prodigy tribute must be a defo for next year, and maybe a differant tribute.
heyah thanks for a great day music was fab! is there anyway i could get a 07 t-shirt??? i tryed but i had no money left spent it all on the wicked rides!!! please e-mail me about a tee shirt, thanks holliejames@gmail.com Hollie, Priors Harwick
magic gig by rack and ruin more like that next year worth coming from wigan for. Best acts later were in the marquee. get the DAGGERS from Manchester next year, going down a storm round here.Camping good minibus to pub and food on Friday night would be well good next time. B Row
Had a great day but got so wrecked, dont remember seeing most of the bands. Jilted generation, Rack and ruin and whole lotta DC were my favourites
Hi,Great festival,Sweet and the Hollies were great, look foward to next year. I have some photo''s and clips of if you would like them of Sweet and the Hollies. My E-mail is jan.stanlick@ntlworld.com Cheers Jan Stanlick
Thanx for a truly grest day. The missus had never been to a fest before but is now hooked. 3 mile island, Whole 9 Yards, The Fallen, V8 (spoiled by that Showadywady guy) were all great, but The Sweet and Whole Lotta DC were top class. Can''t understand why so many people missed WL/DC at the end. Cheap food and bevvies - great VFM. I agree with most that alternating the acts would be a good idea. Keep the marquee though - cracking atmosphere. Good camping but missus moaned about not being to wash her bloody hair. Can''t wait for 2008 event - C and L, Brummies from Wales.
excellent festival. marquee was my favourite, especially jilted generation and sonic horizon. bar made the marquee too small. good to see sensible bar prices this year, but could do with some different food vendors, gettin tired of burgers. hollies and sweet, dont think bands with one original member going through the motions is the way to go? still great value thou!
What a top festival with such a friendly atmosphere all day and night. Thanks for having us - Whole Lotta DC. PS. Photos of The Hollies, Sweet, V8, Jilted Generation and Whole Lotta DC are available here. http://www.wholelottadc.com/helenlodgephotography
Great day really friendly atmosphere. Great selection of bands, where do you start? They were all good. Some excellent food, especially loved the samosa stall and the pig roast. Hope they sell cheap tickets early again, excellent value for ?10 and I had forgotten I had spent that from May!! Will be there next year...Keep website going over the winter.
Great weekend, Jilted Generation were by far the best band there! Absolutely AMAZING!!! now we want the pics up!! please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
A lovely day and night was had, got lucky with the weather. The sound for Hollies was too low. The Marquee needs to be a big bigger! (approx twice the size). Enjoyed the Prodigy & DC tributes. The samosa stall was a bargain, a little more variety on food types. Plenty of room to utilise in the arena area. However this festival does not need to get much bigger, otherwise it ruin the intimacy, and thus alienate the locals (with families & kids), therefore leading to more hassle. Thank you to the organisers, etc. I will be there next year with a small gang of mates. K.xx
Good day. Very nice atmosphere and well organised. Shame the main stage started a bit late and the Hollies mimed some of their set.
I only live down the road in Southam so to have the greatest band ever on my doorstep was amazing. Still can''t believe Andy Scott from Sweet was in my neck of the woods!! I even got a happy Birthday mention from Sweet while they were on stage - which just made it even better. All the Sweet songs sounded as they should - no messing around with them overtime like some bands do, they are classics and don''t need changing. Hollies were also very impressive and i my family enjoyed them immensly. Roll on next year! Suzi Quatro and Slade 2 would be nice!!!
What a suprise,Napton on the hill,it dose not have the same ring as Woodstock, but what a cracker, pitched tent beer or two sleep,up with the lark,(well it was the country side)the set up was a bit long,so it was late starting, bands where sweet, top bands the sweet and violet joker followed by whole lotta dc,sad to say with a bit of luck the hollies will be on a ship somewhere,or retierd, premodoners or what, good news can i pre book 20 tickets for next year, the mix is just about right,NAPTON ON THE HILL "BRING IT ON" fus3801@yahoo.co.uk
Had a fantastic day out at the festival and loved all the bands exept The Hollies...they were well tame (Charlie the drummer from V8 was over the moon at lending his kit to the drummer from Sweet...he''s gonna be mounting them drum sticks on the wall...lol..:). Peter.... aokalarms@ntlworld.com
Well done Dave for such a good event. Some Sweet photos here: http://www.thesweet.com/napton07.htm
www.thevans.co.uk www.queenonfire.co.uk
What a thoroughly enjoyable day! Excellent facilities + real good food. Try to keep the beer as reasonable as this time. Loved the Jilted Generation what an atmosphere! but the marquee could do with being bigger next year, people were tripping over each other trying to get to see them!
GREAT DAY WEATHER WAS EXCELLENT!,. ONLY THING THAT DISSAPOINTED ME WAS THAT THE ROYAL FINGER PUPPETS WERE ONLY ON FOR 20MINS AND THEY WERE THE MAIN REASON WHY I WENT TO THE FESTIVAL, IT WAS JUST A BIT OUT OF ORDER AND UNFAIR THAT THEY DIDNT GET TO PLAY A LONGER SET.! PHIL TOWNSEND
i suggest the levellers maybe for next year?
Great day, some fantastic bands played and would like to have seen more of them playing. I agree that two outdoor stages were required, so we could have had continuous music with one band playing while another set up ready for when they had finished. There were some great bands in the marquee which didn''t get a fair hearing and deserved to be on the main stage. The marquee was running late and Bless the Child were cut off before completing their set much to the disgust of the audience. Bless the Child were my favourite band and deserved to be on the main stage like last year, they got the crowd going. Hope to see more of them and the other bands from the marquee next year.
Had a great time weather was good plenty of beer flowing. Enjoyed most of the bands. The best band for me had to be the ROYAL FINGER PUPPETS, fantastic set but unfoftunately they couldn''t have been on any more than 20 mins, Dissapointed! Hopefully the RFPs will get a longer set next year. Not a bad festivsl!
What a fantastic event for Napton to put on, a bit of something for everyone, I agree that it would be better having two stages and alternating between the two so all bands get a fair set, the gaps in between bands was too long. The day was helped by the good weather although it was freezing later on. Great Hog roast. The Royal Finger puppets produce an awesome sound for just 3 lads and I was very dissapointed when their set was cut short in fact they were the reason we bought tickets, when they played things seemed very intense backstage and the crew looked drunk!!! For the first time that day people moved towards the stage only to have there enjoyment cut short. we spoke to the RFP after and they said that they had been told that a drum kit was provided so they wouldn''t need theirs, and they only did 20 mins not 35. Big shame. The sound was better near the front, but you couldn''t hear properly at the back, vocals were too quiet, why were the speakers on the floor, shouldn''t they be up high. We enjoyed the Hollies towards the end, hope they didn''t mime, didn''t like V8 they were on too long, not my taste, sorry. We will come again next year, with big coats, well done all you bands who worked so hard for no payment, please sort out that sound.
Didnt like RFP. too much like chilli''s not really original.... Marquee was great, loved Aquilla, they rocked!!! also 3 mile, Beaver were awsome. Main stage Whole lotta dc were amazing, as close to the real thing as you can get. Sweet blew the hollies away. Shanade Morrow was just out of this world, blues to go , fantastic. Think V8 stole the show. First band to actually involve and hype up the audience. Best lead guitarist by a long way, vocals!!! how can he sing soo many syles, drumming was awsome as was the bass. Bless the child were awsome, they are sure to get a record deal soon! All in all a fantastic value for money day with great food, cheap beer!! (for a festival) great friendly athomsphere. I wonder what bands for next year? all new? not cool to repeat them!!!! BIG C London
Gaps between bands too long????? around 7 minutes. Only the hollies and sweet took ages. I have been a roadie for a long time. The change overs were lighting fast, Putting on a show like this takes an exraordinary amount of organisation. Its not as easy as hey just get up and play, as it seems to front of house. My opinion! great bands, great day, great satisfaction
RFP HAD NOT BEEN TOLD A DRUM KIT WAS PROVIDED!!!!, they miss understood what had been said. All bands had been emailed saying bring all back line and drum kit. In the circumstances the 35 minutes, timed by the stage engineer was a great set!!!!
Marquee the highlight, Hollies & Sweet disappointing, the dancer from Showaddywaddy the nadir. Levellers & Talon would be perfect acts for such a festival. Will be back next year of course. Shame that Pete couldn''t get Fiona back to his tent.
next year , no to slade 2 or any other 70s 80s bands living on past glories . yes to local bands done good , guillemots , the enemy , klaxons . and yes to the traditional festival bands , levellers , billy bragg ect
Hey there this is Bless The Child! Thanks for an awesome day we all enjoyed it it was ace, great atmosphere and organisation!!!! the sound was awesome too which in the band is a big thing!!!! great idea with the fair!!! Awesome bands - awesome festival Thanks to all that commented on us we love u all thanks for coming and HOPEFULLY we ll be on the bill next year (please) Thanks to everyone!!!! - BTC
GREAT Festival, the royal finger puppets were the band of the day for me and the drummer is really sexy!!! me and my 3 girls were watching him drum. overall though brilliant festival and we will be back next year. luv emmm xx
im 17 years old and this was the first festival i''d been to, had an amazing time I especially enjoyed Sonic Horizon in the marquee, THEY ROCKED!!!!!! they should''ve played on the main stage though. RFP played really well enjoyed them too, I got a bit bored and cold waiting for The Hollies.. WHAT TOOK THEM SO LONG??? was there some backing tracks in there somewhere?? looking forward to next year though i hope the price wont go up.
Awesome day Napton, thank you so much. Suggestion for next year:maybe have the marquee playing while the main stage sets up and visa-versa, that way we will get to see all the bands By the way ''3 mile island'' rocked and set the standard for the whole day!!! Great value for money. Cheers from Mick and the Mayfly gang.
Wot a ''touch!''.The festival was good and weather was fab.The Hollies were great but not soo keen on the Sweet, like to seen local bands like The Enemy next year (summat at least for the under fifties) Also like stuffing with me pork as well...napton water buffalo burgers tastes guuuud! Had a great day hope 2 be back again next year.
jilted generation AWESOME . thanks for a brilliant day , sunshine , good bar prices , v8 were excellent , marquee was rockin . hollies and sweet ? would you want to see the beatles with ringo and three strangers ?
Ive only just stopped aching, Think I must have pulled every muscle in my body dancing to bless the child! Im surprised I had any energy left after the Prodigy Tribute! I didn''t know what to expect from a Prodigy tribute band but they absolutely blew me away! Amazing! Will it be a 2 day event at some point in the future! (thats if I can handle it!)
Hi there, As a former Naptoner it''s good to see Napton getting a name for somthing other than being on a hill.Enjoyed all the bands except the Hollies, which in fairness If the Hollies had bought my beer all day I still would''nt like their music. But they did attract a large grey contingent. V8 were were exceptionally good and Dave Cowan does go the extra mile to wind the crowd up. It will be a great pity if they are not on the bill next year. All I can suggest for next year is Get the Enemy on. A Top Cov band. I dont suppose they are cheap now as they are riding high. But nor were the Hollies!! Gaz B Stockton
Great Atmosphere, great weather and fantastic burgers! What more can you want? Good to see the Royal Finger Puppets again (you guys make such a good sound for a 3 piece!!!) Our only mess up of the day was walking into the "green" tent with a couple of cups of tea in Polstyrene cups....not very PC....Sorry peeps - not intentional! The atmosphere between bands was great too, met some great folks and listened to lots of guitar talk!!! Glad we could help out with some kit for RFP. Did Bless the Child find their banner in the end ???? Thanks for inviting us to play, really good to see so many people enjoying themselves. *Sonic Horizon.*
PLease please please get the pics up!! JILTED GENERATION lads were brilliant as usual, more room for next year though. Cant praise them enough though, AMAZING!! Thanks for the bd shout out boys :-) A great weekend anyway, welldone napton! Jennifer xxx
NEXT YEAR PLEASE ALTINATE THE MAIN STAGE WITH THE MARQUEE STAGE, THAT WAY WE CAN SEE ALL OF THE BANDS. GREAT DAY OUT, ORGANISATION AND PERFORMANCES WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL. ENJOYED THE HOLLIES, RUSSIAN GIRLFRIEND AND 3 MILE ISLAND-THEY KICKED OFF THE DAY BRILLIANTLY. CAN''T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR, CHEERS NAPTON.
Having come to the Napton festival purely to support The Hollies can I just say that myself,my friends and loyal followers of the band truly enjoyed the day and the music which was on offer. I''m sad that some of you did not enjoy the group. All I can say is, come and see them indoors, in a theatre, with a full sound system, and you will not be disappointed. I agree they were an unusual choice to appear at Napton, but I am glad the majority of you enjoyed their music. I can catagorically state there was no miming in their set, and that alongside two original members, the group also has another 2 members with over 20 years service. Not bad when you consider they have been recording and touring constantly for the last 45 years. There are not many people around who can say they have had the same job for 45 years! Thanks for a great day Napton, from the Hollies and their friends.
hey, great festival, V8 - what a band, great set. Marque was great, such a good atmosphere. Jilted generation were intense. cheers for a great day. Try city of god for next festival.
Fantastic day, great diversity of music, lovely festival atmosphere. A shame there was such a wait for the Hollies to go on (what took them so long?). meant Whole Lotta DC were still playing when the coaches were leaving! Well done to the backstage crew who seemed to have everything under control and most the changes slick. Good to see the marquee idea, almost could be expanded to a 2nd stage for next year 30 minute sets between main-stage-bands?
Thanks to everyone concerned , we almost didnt make it after an accident on the M6 toll but after some re engineering to the bodywork of my Discovery we arrived in glorious sunshine to start the feasting and the drinking Oh yeh and to see some live music ,, Impressed with the set up the prices the Napton Buffalo bugers are still a talking point . V8 rock on guys first time ive seen them and was most impressed , unfortunatly we had to leave before the final band due to hyperthermia setting in and a moaning 8yr old son but we will be back next year with 8 others in tow and the camper trailer ... Thanks again to all had a great time . CJ Kearney Wirral Merseyside . P:S One moan , XXL T shirts next year guys :-)
JILTED GENERATION the band of the festival . forget the boring farts headlining , this band MUST be booked for next year .
what a day. our first time and what a most enjoyable day it was. my wife and i really felt like we had been among friends all day long right from sat morning when we had trouble putting up the tent. we, like a lot of others, thought that there could of been two stages as the bands in the marquee were excellent and worthy of a larger audience. looking forward to next year.
Almost perfect.... can,t understand why you only allowed 20 minutes for a band(The Royal Finger Puppets)who are clearly gonna make the big time!! Shame on you! Peter Derby
JILTED G - TOPS !!! GOT A BIT SQUASHED IN THE MOSH PIT - BUT CANT COMPLAIN IT KEPT ME WARM!
my first festival and what a great time! best group in the marquee was Sonic Horizon by far! and as for the main stage the Sweet totally blew me away! roll on next year.
Well done to all involved, made for a great event. On a day full of bands with testosterone filled guitar licks and drum fills, how well did Shanade Morrow do!!
great, marque was so good, but could have done with being a tad bigger Maybe a bigger camping area for next year great day, thanks Try to get Evile to play next year
V8 were massive. WL/DC finished in style. What a day, better than last year. Heres looking forward to 2008. from Simon - Worcester
Fantastic day, shame Hollies took so long to set up, nearly fell asleep during there set!! Andy scott ,bloody misery!! Lets have Slade2 next year Dave Hill never complains and really gets the crowd going, Suzi quatro costs a bloody fortune, beware.
Another great music festival, thanks to the organisers. An improvement on last year, fair and more stalls. For the campers, especially the Friday nighters please could you provide some washing facility like portacabin loos with sinks. Oh and maybe a food van for the evening / early morning. See you next year x
In answer to the guy who said Andy Scott misery, try doing 4 part harmonies when you can only hear 2!!Also try working for Dave Hill and then say he doesnt complain. These guys are professionals and want the best for themselves and the audience.
What a great event. well done to everyone involved. Didn''t arrive till four ish and Sonic Horizon were the first band i saw in the marque and they really set the standard for the rest of the bands. Thought the RFP had a raw deal with the time slot and could have been louder. The sweet rocked. Thanks V much Napton. see you next year!!
First time for a group of us at Napton. What a fabulous day and fabulous set up. We will definately be there next year try stopping us. Can we recommend THE JELLYHEADS from Rugby they play punk/rock. Well done to all who organised it all. Cheryl- Binley Woods - Coventry
What an absolutely fantastic day, spent most of it in the Marquee and yes I agree that Sonic Horizon and Beaver were top drawer but for sheer raw-ness and ballsy rock "THE FALLEN" blew me away, even more so when they told me after their set that they have only been together as a band since Feb!!! Well done guys you deserve the main stage next time around and I will be at the front cheering again!!!! Wayne and Vic, Coventry
Agree with Wayne "THE FALLEN" were wicked great sound and decent blokes with it!! Well done to everyone involved for a brilliant day roll on next year!! THE FALLEN for main stage is a must!!!!!
Yep never a truer word was said THE FALLEN were head and shoulders above all else in terms of raw edgy rock, some great bands in the marquee don''t get me wrong, but THE FALLEN boys were the break to the norm!! Well done guys main stage next time please mr organiser!!! Dan, Rugby
It would be interesting to see who travelled the furthest to get to Napton. Any distance.....it''s worth it!!!!! Me, I travelled at least 2ooyds, I live there!!!! Great to have just a good festival in the back garden.
What an excellent festival. Good size, friendly and great music. Only 2 things to consider, should have had an alternative to the Hollies in the marquee (as was the case the rest of the day!)and how about recycling bins in the campsite. Well done to everyone who was involved with setting up and running such a great festival - thank you, the boys from Somerset.
Here are a couple of links to some V8 videos from Napton. More will be added later. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGTiWMBPCkE http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32RO0mZSixE
Sweet were awesome, how bout getting the legendary Glitter Band there next year?
thanks for a great day. thought the hollies and sweet provided some variety and were highly professional. having seen the police at twickenham the week before for considerably more than a tenner i have to say napton provided better value and better music. see you next year. native naptonian in suburban exile....
It was a qulaity day!! Only complaint is that Bless the Child came on to late and that everyone had to go to main stage for the Sweet and Hollies+ bar closed in tent before Bless the Child! doh!!!
we love napton! bveen every year :-) where are the pictures of this years festival go-ers!!
great festival must book the juilted g for next year thay were awsome. best band there they rocked linda & sash xx
what can i say the juilted g was the life and sole of the festival. please please please some pics. roxy xx
JUILTED GENERATION WERE TOPS. LOVED THE HOLLIES SWEET WAS COOL. GEORGE
WWW.MYSPACE.COM/THEREDMOURNINGCONSPIRACY
The Fallen were great, Sonic Horizon were good, V8 were the best on the main stage by far!! More of these three next round would be most welcome and what a great festival on the doorstep!!! Phil, Barford
hi really enjoyed the whole day, me and my boyfriend have never been to any festival before what sheltered lives!!! but my goodness what a great level to have set. i felt safe and it seemed well organised and beer prices were at a resonalbe cost. we came to support JILTED GENERATION and they did the best performance there the atmospher was brill, it got a bit hectic in the crowed, but it all adds to the experence. thank you so much see you all next year, oh and i also rember enjoing about 3pm time with bules band that i though created a really chilled atmospher.
Get The Fallen on the main stage for 2008!, those guys rock hard!. Bret, Banbury.
V8 are old men give it up lads your time is over.your not big like the sweet or hollies Old peoples homes and dodgy old bikers gigs may have you but pure poo poo to many youngsters. Otherwise the other bands where fantastic. Great festival need to watch the bad language as well from poeple like the royal finger puppets and v8 in front of many young kids you dont sound cool.
in reply to the last comment, V8 have been around for many years and if you actually looked and listened then you would have seen that not one of V8 are "old men" oldest being 44 and youngest being 23. V8 have many young people in their following and have you ever been to a bike rally? i think not! As far as swearing goes, V8 DID NOT swear at anytime! there are swearwords in the lyrics but were either changed or totally left out. Cant speak for finger puppets but they were totally awsome. Research done on the day told that one of the greater percentages of people were there to see V8. Sorry you didnt enjoy it but you are in the minority. Dave V8
Can we have some more comments saying how good "Juilted" generation were, please? FFS, if you''re gonna post bogus favourable comments, make sure you don''t spell the band''s name incorrectly in THREE separate posts, kinda gives it away.....
hi, just wanna say that it was a great festival and enjoyed the day. reading other comments on here and some i agree and some i dont. the last comment about the bad language. v8 were in the wrong there. i liked the royal finger puppets and i know most of there songs. i''ve been to see them once before and they never used bad language. you probably wasn''t listening that well. The royal finger puppets were the best band there and it was a real shame they didn''t for play longer. i''ve got a group i 20 something together that all want to come next year but only if there is one band performing. THE ROYAL FINGER PUPPETS. the 3 lads derserve a pat on the back. outstanding!! Mark (KERRANG TV/MAG/RADIO)
BOOK GMT they rock
The royal finger puppets were by far the best band there and i was gutted that they got cut short, they were the only reason i went!! plus the drummer is hot!
